Enjoy!ĭisclaimer: this review does have some affiliate links We were fans of the Pimsleur approach before (it’s always been an effective way to learn a language through audio), but now after the recent update we’re even bigger fans.Īt the end of this review you should be able to tell if Pimsleur is the right choice for you. The company also introduced an awesome and effective reading portion to their course, making it a holistic way to learn a new language (Here at LiveFluent we’re a huge fan of learning holistically). In 2019 under the company Simon Schuster Pimsleur rolled out its new multi-platform subscription, allowing learners to full access to all of the programs for a single language for a monthly subscription. In the past those really were some noteworthy weaknesses in the course. Historically some of the biggest critiques of Pimsleur focused its hefty price tag and lack of reading materials. Their learning program is unique, has a strong academic background, and a real reputation for bringing results. Pimsleur is one of the longest standing and most popular audio programs out there for learning a foreign language (second perhaps to only Rosetta Stone).
